Some Things Age Like Grace

What do you think gets better with age?

Some things age like grace, not like milk. They don’t sour, they settle.

For me, what gets better with age is perspective. When I was young, everything felt urgent. I chased love, success, and understanding like a dog chasing cars. Now? I know how to sit still and let truth find me.

With age, love becomes deeper. Not louder, not flashier, just more rooted. It doesn’t need a stage. It knows where home is.

Even pain transforms. It teaches. Every scar on my body or soul is a journal entry now, a reminder I’ve survived what others thought I wouldn’t. My laugh lines and stretch marks are inked maps of joy and endurance.

Time has seasoned my soul. I’ve become a better listener. A gentler judge. A bolder truth-teller. I no longer feel the need to prove everything. The proof is in my presence.

So yes, I’d say:

  • Wisdom gets better with age.
  • Discernment grows clearer.
  • Peace becomes easier to protect.
  • Faith becomes less about answers and more about trust.

And if you’re asking what else gets better?

Me. I do.
